Fantasy illustration by Jesper Ejsing.
Love this piece! Thanks for sharing the different stages of it. The movement in the whole piece is just wonderful!
Looking at your finished art, I thought you worked completely traditional. Do you create digital comps for all your paintings?I also love the subtle color shifts you put into your paintings. The stonework underneath the dragon (in the finished verion) is teriffic. Thanks for taking the extra time to post some in-progress shots of your work.
My favourite is actually the first one. The loose lines are just so elegant to me. But the colours are lovely too, of course. Looks like a finished piece in the thumbnail, actually. : )Thanks for giving the insight into the progress. Always interesting.
Yeah, thank you. It's very helpful to see this. Makes it seem easy :) Oh, you took out the guys on the right that could have helped her, poor thing, she's really in a tough spot now...
wow...this is just amazing...
Very nice studies and final illustration.
Love this painting!
Owow... I love the face of the girl on the ground and the angle on the dragon and his rider is perfect. Too bad you left out the people peaking from behind that doorentry in the background.Really cool work and nice to see you have such a loose style while working with oils
I love seeing the development.
